How time flies when you're a little one. Miss Ash is already 4.5 months old. She's getting to be such a big girl already! At her 4 month appointment she weighed in at 14.5 pounds and 24 inches long. She's babbling a lot and can already roll over.  Here she is in the first sweater I knit when I learned that I was pregnant. With the flower and the color she kind of looks like she's wearing someone's flower bed.

Mathias is doing well in school, I'm really proud of him. School hasn't been super easy for him, mostly because he flouts authority (down with the man!) especially what he views as secondary authority. He's made friends and is really excelling with his classwork. It's breaking my heart watching him growing and becoming such a big boy.

Isabella is doing well in school, though she recently failed the vision screening. So we've set up an eye appointment for her to see if she needs glasses.

She's also recently become obsessed with Disney's Princess Sofia. We have all the episodes recored and they're Isabella's favorite things to watch.

I'm slowly but surely working on a few knitting projects. I can't find a lot of time for my knitting, even being a SAHM. I am able to browse Ravelry a lot while nursing the baby and I've found a ton of projects that I want to knit....someday.

2 months!

The littlest owlet isn't so little anymore. Ashlyn is weighing in at 12.4 pounds already! That's a fantastic weight gain. She's a great nurser so that more than anything is what I attribute her weight gain to.

Mat and Bella are doing well, they're getting ready for Christmas. We put up the Christmas tree yesterday and they're a little obsessed with it. I'm glad they're enjoying the holidays so much.

We've been going to the park a lot as of late. The big kids have a blast and tire themselves out. Ash enjoys the walk and I love being with my family. The weather has been insanely warm for this time of year so we're still able to go to the park and not turn into popsicles.

I took a bunch of pictures of the kids and Levi at the park, this one is may favorite. Too bad the baby wasn't in the picture. She was in her mei tai with me.

I've been knitting a little lately. My brother's bearded hat is almost done, once I attach the beard I'll take pictures. I've finally cast on Levi's hat! Hopefully it'll be done before Christmas, we'll see though.
I'm using Malabrigo Rios in Candombe and the September Hat pattern. It's a simple pattern and the yarn is butter soft. I'm really enjoying knitting the hat so far.

And the Littlest Owl Makes 3

On October 9th at 12:48 pm my family and I welcomed our newest addition, Ashlyn Kate! Ashlyn was 7 pounds 4 ounces, 19 inches long and had a ton of dark hair.

I'm very grateful Ashlyn's delivery went so smoothly. The Dr, nurses and anesthesiologist were fantastic! I opted for a scheduled c section and I'm very happy I did. From start to finish, the surgery lasted around 10 minutes. I had a short time in recovery and was able to join my family in my room an hour or so after Ashlyn was born.

My older children, Isabella and Mathias are over the moon with their new little sister. I've loved seeing them getting to know her and watching them interact with her. They were so excited to hold their sister for the first time!

Our little family is doing well and we're very happy with our new baby.
